Happy New Year
We are excited about the New Year. Some prophetic words have come
about 2007 that it will be the year of an open Heaven! We are
growing our faith for more and more doors to open for us to preach
and teach the Word of God here in Ukraine and in surrounding nations
as well.
BELIEVER’S MEETINGS
We have recently had the opportunity to conduct some
Believer’s meetings in Ukraine. What are Believer’s Meetings? The
Apostle Paul explains it in I Corinthians 14:26. “How is it
brethren? When you come together, everyone of you hath a psalm, hath
a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an
interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying”.
A Believer’s Meeting is when Believers come together fully prepared
to let the Holy Spirit use them. It may be a prophetic word or song,
a tongue and interpretation, a scripture, an exhortation, a word of
knowledge or a word of wisdom.
We have a time of worship and waiting on the Lord and allow the Holy
Spirit to give us the direction. It is to build up, comfort and
exhort one another as the Body of Christ. It is good to have these
meetings occasionally.
The church in Chevonegrad had its very first Believer’s Meeting with
Basim and Rallene assisting them. The church loved it and wants to
have another soon. Many in the congregation were used of the Lord to
participate.
Then, Basim, Rallene and I held a Believer’s Meeting for the
Youth at Springs of Life Church. Even the youth were used by the
Holy Spirit. They participated with scripture readings, word of
knowledge, praying for one another, exhortations and prophetic
songs. When I asked them afterwards how many of them would like to
do this again, hands went up immediately everywhere. When you expose
the youth to the real move of the Holy Ghost, they are hungry for
more of God. They draw closer to God when they see that God is real,
and makes Himself real to them.
On Sunday evening, we held a Believer’s Meeting for the church at
Springs of Life. Diana sang and lead worship in Ukranian. People
participated with tongues and interpretation of tongues,
exhortations, and praying for the sick.
The meeting took an interesting turn as we began to sing over the
Middle East. The music became Middle Eastern sounding, as so did the
style of our singing in tongues. We entered into intercession,
praying and singing over the countries of the Middle East.
One young man had a vision even before this portion of the meeting
got started. We knew he had something to share but was afraid to
share it. He shared it afterwards. He had a vision of the map of the
Middle East. He could see all those countries. We encouraged him to
be bold next time and share what the Holy Spirit had shown him.
Everyone seemed to have really enjoyed the meeting and are looking
forward to having one of these type meetings once a month.
HEALING SCHOOL
We finished our last two classes on Healing School in Chevonegrad
and Lviv with communion. In Chevonegrad, the place was packed. One
man got up and exhorted the congregation how they needed to take
what they learned in the classes and begin to pray for the sick in
their community. He told them they needed to look for opportunities
to lay hands on the sick. The people were really fired up! You could
tell they were ready to go for it!
